MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Perlite Canada inc. (the "company") announces hereby the results for the year ended October 31, 2005.

Corporate sales of the company for that exercise totalled $4,772,771 compared to $4,551,620 for the fiscal year 2003-2004. This 5% increase was caused by increased sales in the 4th quarter (over 50% compared to the 4th quarter of 2004).

In addition to increased sales, the Company once again improved its before-tax profit, increasing from 6.3% to 8.4% excluding the R&D credit. For fiscal year 2005, its before-tax income was $495,773 including an R&D credit of $94,447 compared to income of $287,297 in 2004.

Perlite Canada Inc. has become a leading company in Canada in the processing, distribution and sale of perlite and vermiculite, two minerals used in industry and horticulture.

The common shares of Perlite Canada Inc. are listed for trading on the TSX Venture Exchange.
