PERLITE CANADA INC. ANNOUNCES THE CONCLUSION OF AN 
AGREEMENT WITH REGIS RESOURCES INC. FOR PRODUCTION
OF VALUE-ADDED PRODUCTS BASED ON VERMICULITE

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Perlite Canada Inc. (the "company") is pleased to announce the conclusion of an agreement for production of value-added products based on Vermiculite with Regis Resources Inc. ("Regis").

Under the terms of the agreement, Regis has granted to the company the production of value-added products based on Vermiculite intended for certain clients of Regis specializing in the construction sector. The agreement is for an initial duration of 3 years and is renewable for successive periods of 1 year.

More specifically, the agreement specifies that the company will produce value-added products with the raw Vermiculite extracted by Regis from its deposit located at Buckhorn, Ontario, Canada. The company will transform the Vermiculite using its expansion technology and specifications supplied by Regis.

The agreement follows a period of production testing by the parties, and enables the company to make use of the technology it developed to manufacture products intended primarily for the American market.

Regis is a Canadian company that owns a deposit of Vermiculite in Ontario, Canada. This deposit has been in operation for more than 5 years.

Perlite Canada Inc. specializes in the transformation, distribution and sale of Perlite and Vermiculite, minerals used in the horticultural and industrial sectors.

The common shares of Perlite Canada Inc. trade on the TSX Venture Exchange.
